Current volunteer opportunities:
Become an Ally
Become an ally for a Gardenview Village resident. As an ally, you’ll provide companionship, connect residents with resources, serve as a liaison with their case manager, and help them achieve their goals.
Being an ally is an incredibly rewarding volunteer experience where you can have a huge impact. Road2Home provides an in-depth training for allies, which covers trauma-informed care, creating boundaries, strategies to help clients realize their goals, local resources, and more. Being an ally requires a 6-month commitment where you meet with a resident twice a month and are available for phone calls in between. If you would like to find out more about becoming an ally, contact allyprogram@road2home.org.
Life Skills Workshops
Share your hobby or skill with Gardenview residents! Workshops could include: yoga sessions, cooking, art, music, crafting, gardening, resume writing, computer skills, etc. If you have a skill or hobby that you’d like to share, we want to hear from you! Sign up here!
Events/Fundraising
We need volunteers to help with event planning, fundraising, and marketing. Sign up here! If you have a business that would like to host a fundraising event, please contact us at info@road2home.org.
PROFESSIONAL TALENT
Are you experienced in the legal field?
We don’t need to tell you how challenging it can be to understand what all is involved in legal processes. The folks we serve could benefit greatly from having access to a knowledgeable volunteer who could explain legal situations and offer their free advice and consultation. Please click here to volunteer or email us if you can help to fulfill this need.
Meal Prep and Delivery
We are looking for folks to prepare and deliver healthy meals to the 30-40 residents of Gardenview Village. You decide how frequently you can commit—one time only, weekly, or monthly—whichever best fits your schedule. We especially need meal deliveries towards the end of the month.
Kitchen facilities in the Gardenview Village are limited, so the food must be prepared offsite and delivered to the residents ready to eat.
Road2Home volunteers often foster personal connections with those we serve. Through Road2Home’s work, meaningful relationships are built and hope for better futures is created.
